Student Empowering Students Parent Group

On our first day in Tanzania, Ashley and I had the pleasure of meeting many parents and guardians of students that are actively involved in ASFE’s Students Empowering Students program in a meeting that took place adjacent to the ASFE office. These parents, who graciously presented Ashley with a gift as a token of their appreciation for ASFE’s contribution to their students’ education, are strong supporters of education and learning. This has become clear as many of these parents have not only organized a parent’s group to support ASFE’s efforts, but several of the parents are using the ASFE office and resources to better their English-speaking skills and are learning how to use computers and the Internet. It is even more gratifying to see that the resources provided to ASFE by our generous donors are helping both children AND adults in Tanzania.
