BEE Montessori Preschool - tuition free, English medium - opened in February 2017 serving at-risk preschool age children in Bagamoyo. We started with one class of 15 children aged 2 1/2 to 4 years old. Due to the success of our first class and a high demand for quality education in Bagamoyo we opened a second class in January 2018  and a second class in 2020 with a total of 86 young children.  BEE's 2024 classes have 100 happy students. Our Head of School Glory Mosha and head teacher Albina Simon were joined in 2020 by teacher Salome Wandwi and Zauna Komba, and Efriam  Missani joined our team in 2023 – all are graduates of the International Montessori Teacher Training College  (IMTTC) in Dar es Salaam. Our teachers have additional support from teacher assistant Grace and  ASFE assistant Hagai.

       In addition to a wonderful education BEE students enjoy healthy snacks prepared by our cooks Dorina and Veronica and end their day with a cup, or two, of fortified porridge to give them nutrition that most do not receive at home.

     Our goal is to provide a head start for these children through preschool and continue to support them through other ASFE programs once they graduate from BEE and move onto primary school.
