S.E.S. Students Get Glasses!
Tuma and Mshindo took 15 S.E.S. members from Dunda Secondary School to a Doctors Without Borders Optometrist Clinic today. 5 hours later Mshindo and all 15 student had new glasses. Thursday they will take members from Hassanali Damji Secondary School.


My Favorite Maasai Family
Today we failed at reaching two villages, so instead, we headed to Mnindi to see my favorite Maasai family. It was so wonderful to meet baby Ruth (named after me) and spend time with sweet Seratian. We surprised them with our visit and also when we opened the car to let many of the Maasai children out after giving them a ride. The children are getting over their fear of me. Baby Ruth is beautiful and I was blessed by her when she peed on me!


A Wonderful Place
What a wonderful place to be to escape the cold, snow and ice of Connecticut! Tuma, Mshindo, Mama Sophia and I have been working very hard that it seems as if I have already been here for a week not just 2 days. We have met with SES club members from both Hassanal and Dunda Secondary Schools. The SES members stayed after school for an extra 3 hours to work with us and are progressing very well in their studies in the classroom and with us. We spent time working on their writi
